THE MOUNT HOSPITAL

BISHOPSTOKE

This story begins on a moonlit Saturday night during July 2009...

Ghostbuster, Egor and myself (Slymer) had heard about a supposedly haunted, derelict house called Beedingwood House in Colgate - Horsham in Sussex.

After travelling 90 miles we found ourselves parked on the main road almost next to the property. Standing between us and our goal was dense woodland. We got our gear together and in we went.

After battling through for 20 mins with sticks and twigs prodding us in places we would rather not talk about, we came across a steep incline which was slippery underfoot, due to loose stones and debris.

Before us and to the left we saw the house that we had travelled an hour and a half to see had been demolished!

You cannot understand how gutted we were but this would not deter us from our quest into the paranormal!

We returned through the dense brush to the car where we decided to go and investigate an old hospital we had heard about so off we went again.

The Mount Hospital is located in Bishopstoke - Hampshire. We arrived at approx 1am.

We walked up to the first few buildings we heard noises coming from the bushes to the rear of the building.

We decided to investigate these noises. After a short time we located a tent in the undergrowth and heard voices coming from inside. It sounded like a group of young kids.We decided to turn our two-way radios on and have a bit of fun with them - due to our poor start to the evening!

I went and hid behind a tree within earshot of the tent while Ghostbuster and Egor stayed where they were. Ghostbuster then spoke over the radio saying

‘tango, whiskey, alpha, tango - receiving! over’!

I could barely contain myself from laughing!

I then replied

‘Charlie, Oscar, Charlie, Kilo - multiple persons located’

to which the tent fell silent.

Ghostbuster could not contain her laughter which made me burst out laughing also. The kids realised that this was a harmless prank and came out of the tent.

We all laughed together!

We started speaking to the kids about the hospital.

We saw that the building had few windows still intact and doors had been vandalised. We entered through the ground floor and saw that we had entered a ward, with separate rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. After looking around for a while we decided to go up the stairs to the first floor. This was pretty much a mirror image of downstairs. After about 10 mins the kids decided to leave us to it. So we said our goodbyes and they left.

After 10 more mins and a few photos later we decided to do a séance in one of the upstairs rooms, to the back of the building.

We sat down turned our digital voice recorder on, and started calling out. We had no response but kept trying for about 20 minutes.

We were just about to leave so we turned off our equipment and stood up. We had just left the room when we heard a muffled knock coming from inside so we returned to the room to find it as empty just as we had left it. No one could have passed us. We decided to see if we could see any of the kids that had left - 40 or so minutes earlier. Just in case revenge was on the cards but no one was found. So we tried again but with no success.

It was approx 3am and we decide to leave this section of the hospital to investigate further. As we were leaving, Ghostbuster trod on something in the grass which went straight through her trainer!

She was not best pleased and was in some pain so we decided to call it a night.

On our way out we saw the main hospital building and another couple of smaller buildings but due to Ghostbusters pain we decided to leave anyway.

On our way out we took more photos of the buildings and just random stuff but we promised ourselves to return and finish the investigation of the Mount in Bishopstoke as soon as we could.

Over the next few days we reviewed our footage and photos with not much success but we did find a couple of interesting photos.

We are not sure of what we have captured but we have posted them on our forum and here on our website for you to see and you can decide for yourselves!!

Two small lights can be seen one above the car and one to the right. With nothing but open field behind  the car we could not think where these light would  have come from

Below a enlarged image of one of the lights. Not sure what they are we talked about the possiablity of them being moths but the size of them to the car would make them pretty big moths. But see what you think.
